Queensland, NSW & Victorian Floods

When, in Victoria in 2009, we had the terrible fires, much support was sent to us by various CWA branches and groups from across Queensland and NSW.

In their trying times ahead we can give in return the support they provided to us.

CWA of Vic Inc Bass Group can accept donations from groups and individuals. These funds will be sent to local CWA branches to be used as they need.

Xmas is in the Air

Members of Bass Group wish all a Merry Xmas and a Happy, Safe New Year.

In late November the craft group came together to make beautiful crochet Xmas bells

and together enjoyed an early Xmas luncheon.

Bass Group Mystery Tour

A most enjoyable day, good weather, good company - what else could you ask for.
The day commenced by meeting at the beach end
of Cuttysuk Rd, Coronet Bay and then we set off,
a convoy of 7 cars (many in each car) not knowing
where we were heading.
First stop, after morning tea was a tour of local Racing Stables, many members trying to get
a few tips for the coming racing season.



Then it was a horse stud tour, highlight was the 3 week old foals.

Our thanks and appreciation to Kevin O'Brien and staff for their hospitality.








A very quick lunch















Then off to Almurta to visit a free range chook farm.

Each flock of chooks have wonderful dogs that
protect them from the Foxes.

Healthy chooks, lots of double yolk eggs, even occassional triple yolkers!!





A fantastic day organised by Coronet Bay branch members.

This day alone was worth the annual membership fee!!!

Sunrise Interview

Just an update, the interview was screened on Sunrise this morning
just after 8am. Copy coming and will be posted on this site as soon
as is to hand.

Filming the filmers

It was an interesting afternoon last Friday, being filmed/interviewed by the
Channel 7 Sunrise program. I took a few photos of them filming us. In this photo they are setting up.
