State Creative Arts Exhibition

Bass Group did extremely well at the recent CWA State Creative Arts Exhibition held in Bendigo, taking out the first prize in the state for Home Industries. Our theme was “The Vegie Patch”
The display consisted of Grandchildren's Beetroot cut in a variety of shapes to encourage children to eat beetroot, Pumpkin Cake, Italian Vegetable Pickle, Sweet Chilli and Ginger Sauce and Tomato Relish, all in matching containers.
A number of our members won first prizes. Lyn Stebbing won the cup for the finest piece of work in the exhibition by a member of a Branch with membership of less than 60 with a finely hand quilted trapunto quilt, which also scored a green star for exceptional workmanship.

Other winners included Jayne Mitchell, Cowes, China Painting, Faye Tuchtan, Coronet Bay, Adult Knitted Jumper, Hilary Hutchings, Nyora Night Branch, Fur Fabric Bears, Abbi Cininas, Woodleigh Vale Branch, Crochet dog, Gwenda Swan, Grantville Branch, Pave and Belinda Smart, Nyora Night Branch, Handwoven Scarf.

To win these prizes at state Level shows great skill and ability, which our group members have in abundance.
